Macro Cat
Yesterday, I went out to try and take macro photography of garden bees, and ended up inside with this massive portrait of Telly.
I’ve never fiddled with macro photography before, so even little things like the small flecks of dust on the lens (or sensor) are new and curious!

Caveat Emptor & The Dallmeyer Anastigmat
At times, I’m a creature—a goblin?—of impulse.
For instance: my boyfriend mentions I should try a wide angle lens on my camera. I start hunting around for a vintage lens. I stumble over a Dallmeyer Speed Anastigmat on Ebay, and after watching one (1) review, leap to buying it. This all happens in under 8 hours. Or it did… two weeks ago.
The new lens finally arrived today and.. the goshdang thing doesn’t focus to infinity! (Yours truly has learned a lesson about only buying items that have been TESTED.)
This might be an issue with the focus ring and COULD be fixable. While this did stifle my excitement a little, I still got some pretty rad swirly closeups playing around with it today. I can’t wait to play more with this dreamy lens.

Call To Adventure
The internet said this little guy is called a “parsley worm." I figured letting him and his family hang out in my summer garden was worth sacrificing a little parsley.
